Join is for a new series of birdwalks at Fletcher Park with us here from the Asheville Wild Birds Unlimited store. Along with the Henderson County Bird Club, we will be running these walks on every third Saturday of the month throughout the year. Simon or Rob or another qualified bird leader will be leading the group each month and we will look for any birds as well as talk about birding in the local area.
Please meet either at the store at 8:45 AM (when the walks start at 9AM) or at 7:45 AM (for 8 AM walks). Otherwise meet opposite the bathroom block at Fletcher Park at the startting time.
The walk is free for all of our customers here at the Asheville Wild Birds Unlimited store but if you would like to make a donatio to our local bird rehabilitators, we would certainly appreciate it.
You are invited back to the store afterwards for refreshments. Wear good walking shoes as the grass may be wet and bring binoculars and a bird book. You may also like to bring a notebook and pencil to help you with identification notes.
