One can never have too many bird books and you can tell this by looking at the shelves in the Ventures Bird Tours office. AND we have been seriously upgrading the book, CD and DVD selection in the store. We stock all of the best and most current Field Guides, the local NC Bird Finding Guide, the truly wonderful Watching Warblers DVD and a lot more. Heading to Costa Rica or Mexico? You can also pick up the bird book at the store as well as a selection of other foreign Field Guides. Not to be forgotten, we also have a great selection of mammal, wildflower and butterfly books, both nationally and for use here in WNC. Plus, it there's a bird or nature book that you want that's currently in print, we can often get it within a couple of days.
Western North Carolina has some excellent birding sites and many of them are included in this new book put together by all of us in the Carolina Bird Club. If you are a visiting birder, there are plenty of good birding sites within a couple of hours of Asheville. For additional information you can also talk to us here in the store.
